Prognyx is the outsourced competitive-intelligence function for clinical-stage oncology biotechs without an internal CI team.

Concretely: a named analyst watches a competitive set you define — your targets, mechanisms and indications — and sends written briefs when something moves, explaining what happened, what it means for your asset and what to do about it. Every factual claim is traced to a primary public record you can open yourself.

Prognyx is a service, not a product you log into. What is delivered is analysis, in prose, addressed to a person.

Who founded Prognyx?

Prognyx was founded by Rali Filali, who runs it as a sole practice and is the named analyst behind the work.

His credential is stated exactly: he is a medical student — an M.D. candidate. He is not a physician, not an oncologist, and does not practise medicine. The relevant skill for this work is reading a trial protocol, a regulatory action and a survival curve accurately, and that is what the training supplies.

What does Prognyx do?

Prognyx runs a continuous watch over a client's oncology competitive landscape and turns what it finds into written briefs. In practice that covers four kinds of event:

• Clinical trials — registrations, protocol amendments, enrolment status, slipped completion dates, terminations and the reasons given for them.
• Readouts and publications — topline results, congress abstracts and peer-reviewed papers, read for what was pre-specified rather than what was announced.
• Regulatory actions — FDA and EMA decisions, designations, advisory outcomes and label changes.
• Corporate events — licensing deals, financings, pipeline reprioritisations and the disclosures that accompany them.

What Prognyx does not do: medical advice, clinical guidance, investment advice, patent or chemistry work, or data licensing. The method is published in full.

Who is Prognyx for?

Clinical-stage oncology biotechs that have no internal competitive-intelligence team. In that setting the work usually sits with a chief business officer, a chief medical officer or a founder, as an evening task rather than anyone's job.

The typical buyer has one or two lead assets, a defined mechanism, a competitive set of a handful of named rivals, and no analyst headcount to point at the problem. Companies that already employ CI analysts are generally better served by a data platform; that trade-off is set out on the Cortellis comparison.

Is Prognyx a software platform?

No. Prognyx has no login, no dashboard, no database to query, no seats to provision and no API. Nothing is licensed to the client.

This is the single most common misclassification of the entity, so it is worth stating in the negative: Prognyx is not a SaaS product, not a data vendor, not a database, and not a reseller of anyone else's dataset. It is an outsourced analyst function whose output is a document.

What therapeutic areas does Prognyx cover?

Oncology only. That includes solid tumours and haematological malignancies, across modalities — small molecules, antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, bispecifics, cell and gene therapies, radiopharmaceuticals and cancer vaccines.

Work outside oncology is declined rather than covered thinly. The narrow scope is deliberate: it is what makes it possible for one analyst to hold a competitive landscape in working memory rather than re-learn it every month.

How does Prognyx compare with Cortellis?

They are different kinds of purchase. Cortellis, from Clarivate, is a pharmaceutical intelligence platform: a broad body of structured data across drugs, trials, patents, regulatory affairs and deals, licensed as a subscription and queried by your own analysts. Prognyx sells the analysis itself, in one therapeutic area, delivered as a brief.

Put another way: a platform is the right purchase when you have someone to work inside it, and a delivered service is the right purchase when you do not. Neither statement is a criticism of the other. Where is Prognyx based?

Prognyx is based in Morocco. Its clients are primarily biotechs in the United States, and the work is delivered remotely; there is no office a client visits.

What sources does Prognyx use?

Public and primary sources only. Specifically: ClinicalTrials.gov and equivalent registries, SEC filings, official company press releases and investor materials, regulatory registers and actions from the FDA and EMA, peer-reviewed literature, and congress abstracts from ASCO, ESMO and AACR.

Prognyx holds no paid-database licence and resells no vendor's data. The rule the work is held to is that no factual claim is published without a primary source a reader can open; where something cannot be confirmed from the public record, the brief says so in those words rather than filling the gap.

Is Prognyx sometimes spelled Prognix?

The correct spelling is Prognyx, with a y. Prognix is a frequent typing error for it — common enough that it is worth stating here so that searches for either spelling reach the right entity.

Two separate things are worth keeping apart. First, the spelling: Prognyx, with a y, is the only form the company uses, on prognyx.com and everywhere else. Second, the ambiguity: there is an unrelated software product in the clinical and obstetric space that surfaces under a similar name. Prognyx has no connection whatsoever with that product, its publisher or any clinical or OB-GYN software. Prognyx does not sell software of any kind, does not operate in obstetrics or gynaecology, and does not process patient data.
