Who runs Prognyx
Prognyx is Rali Filali, working solo. I founded it because of a gap I kept running into: the biotech with the most riding on a single asset is the one least able to buy competitive intelligence, and the tools built for that gap are all built for someone else's budget.
On credentials, plainly, because this is a field where people check and they should: I am a fifth-year medical student — an M.D. candidate. I am not a physician, not an oncologist, and I do not practise medicine. What the training gives me is the thing that actually matters in oncology competitive intelligence: I can read a trial protocol and know which endpoint was pre-specified, why a hazard ratio of 0.76 with no p-value is not the same claim as a significant result, and what a post-hoc subgroup inside a failed ITT analysis is worth. That is a reading skill, not a title.
The briefs are the credential. Everything Prognyx publishes is in the open, dated, and traced to a primary source you can click. Judge the work.
Why independence is the point
Prognyx has no platform to upsell, no bank behind the read, no sell-side relationship with any company it writes about, and no position in any security it mentions. When a briefing concludes that a company is pressing a Phase 3 on a post-hoc result and a runway that ends in four quarters, nothing in the business model pushes against saying so.
That is not a small thing in this category. Most competitive intelligence a biotech sees is produced by someone with an incentive: a data vendor demonstrating why you need the subscription, a bank marketing a thesis, a consultancy scoping the next project. Prognyx sells the read itself, so the read is the whole product.
What Prognyx does — and doesn't
- Does: continuous watch on the trials, readouts, regulatory actions and deals that touch your assets, mechanisms and indications — and briefs that say what it means and what to do.
- Does: trace every factual claim to a primary record — a ClinicalTrials.gov registration, an SEC filing, an FDA or EMA action, a peer-reviewed publication, a congress abstract.
- Does: say "this cannot be confirmed from public sources" when that is the honest answer, instead of filling the gap.
- Doesn't: give medical advice, clinical guidance, or investment advice. Prognyx analyses public information about competitive positioning. It is not a substitute for regulatory, legal or medical counsel.
- Doesn't: handle your confidential data as a matter of course. A scoping conversation needs your assets and indications — which are usually public — not your unpublished results.
How the work is checked
Every briefing goes through a generator-and-critic separation: the analysis is written, then re-checked claim by claim against its cited source by a separate pass that distrusts by default, plus a freshness gate that re-verifies each cited trial against the live registry and the press record at the moment of publication. Anything that doesn't clear the bar is escalated to me rather than published. The full procedure is written up on how we work.
The reason to publish that procedure rather than just assert quality: in 2026, "AI-generated" is a discount word in pharma competitive intelligence, and "human-audited, source-traced" is a premium one. Prognyx uses machines to read widely and never to decide what is true.

Rali Filali, the founder, writes and audits every briefing personally. There is no research department and no ghostwriting pool — one named analyst is accountable for every claim, and every claim links to the primary record it came from.
Is Rali Filali a doctor?
No. He is a fifth-year medical student — an M.D. candidate — not a practising physician or oncologist. The relevant skill for competitive intelligence is reading trial protocols, regulatory filings and survival data accurately, which is what the training provides. Prognyx briefings are not medical advice.
Is Prognyx an AI-generated content site?
No. Machines are used to read widely — to sweep registries, filings and publications — and never to decide what is true. Every briefing is written and then audited claim-by-claim against its cited primary source by a human before publication. The procedure is documented on the methodology page.
Does Prognyx hold a position in the companies it writes about?
No. Prognyx holds no securities in any company it covers, has no sell-side or platform relationship, and receives no compensation from any company it writes about. Its only revenue is client retainers and pilot briefs.
